FORÊT

In 2022, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, together with the young French choreographer Némo Flouret created Fôret a choreography for the Grande Galerie and the Salles Rouges as well as the Italian and French collections of the Louvre.

Evi Cats – a regular Rosas collaborator since 2022 – accompanied the rehearsals and performances and created a personal film right in the thick of the live performance. The image of the eleven dancers weaving their way through whirlwinds, shipwrecks and burning cities certainly resonates with our times. The camera moves almost imperceptibly between the dancers and the audience, alternating between intimate close-ups and wide shots of the imposing scenery.

After the films premiered in Louvre in 2025, it has been screened internationally at dance (film)festivals and museums (Avignon, Bozar, Cinedans, Manifest Dance, F’A’A, InShadow).
